Welcome to CARDWORLD. These terms of service ("Terms") apply to every purchase and use of our webshop (cardworld.be), related services, and livestreams. By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Application and acceptance

These Terms apply between you (the customer) and CARDWORLD for every purchase, account use, or participation in our livestreams. By checking out or creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or place an order. If you are under 16, you need parental or guardian permission.

3. Products and offering

We sell Trading Card Game (TCG) products such as Pokemon, One Piece, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, and Disney boosters, sealed boxes, accessories, and related items. Product images are illustrative; actual cards in a booster are random as determined by the publisher.

We strive to display accurate information, but typos or pricing errors can occur. In the event of an obvious error (e.g. €1 for a Booster Box), we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you in full.

4. Ordering and payment

An order is binding once we have received your payment and sent the order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in case of suspected fraud, abuse, or stock shortage.

Payments are processed via Mollie (Bancontact, credit card, etc.). All prices are in euro including 21% VAT (Belgium) unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout.

5. Shipping and delivery

Shipping via Bpost or DPD (Belgium) or comparable partners for other countries. Indicative delivery times:

  • Belgium: 1-3 working days after dispatch
  • Netherlands, France, Germany: 2-5 working days
  • Other EU countries: 3-7 working days

These are estimates — carrier delays can occur. In case of delay, the carrier accepts liability unless mandatory law states otherwise.

Risk of loss or damage transfers to you on physical delivery. In case of damage during shipping: take photos and email us within 48 hours at hello@cardworld.be.

6. Rip & Ship — live opening

Important to read before ordering a Rip & Ship product.

For Rip & Ship orders we open your boosters/packs live on stream (via Twitch). The following terms apply specifically:

  • During the stream we often mention your first name or Twitch username.
  • The cards pulled are shipped to you, protected (toploaders, sleeves, or bubble mailer depending on value).
  • The original sealed packaging, code cards, dividers, and non-card inserts are not sent unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
  • Once a Rip & Ship product is opened on stream, the right of withdrawal expires (see section 9). This complies with Belgian consumer law (WER art. VI.53, 5°: products that cannot be returned for hygienic reasons or where the seal has been broken after delivery).
  • Streams are archived on Twitch. Highlights may appear on YouTube or social media. By ordering a Rip & Ship, you agree to this recording and publication.

7. Vault — free storage

For selected products we offer free storage in our "Vault" for up to 3 months. Conditions:

  • The storage period starts at order payment.
  • Shipping can be requested at any time within that period via your account or hello@cardworld.be.
  • Shipping costs are paid on shipping request (Bpost/DPD rate, no markup).
  • After 3 months without a shipping request, we will contact you. If no reply within 14 days, we reserve the right to ship the order to your known address at the standard shipping rate.
  • We are not liable for value changes during storage.
  • The Vault does not cover loss or damage due to force majeure (fire, theft, natural disaster). For high-value products (>€500), we recommend immediate shipping.

8. CARDWORLD+ loyalty programme

CARDWORLD+ is free and optional. By participating:

  • Your annual spend determines your tier (Explorer / Rival / Legend) with corresponding benefits.
  • Tier assignments are calculated automatically and can change based on spend.
  • Rewards, discounts, and exclusive access can be modified or discontinued — we communicate changes via email and/or the website.
  • Abuse (e.g. wash-trading, fake accounts) leads to termination of CARDWORLD+ without compensation.

9. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

In accordance with Belgian and European consumer law (WER Book VI), you have 14 calendar days from delivery to withdraw your order without reason. We will refund you in full within 14 days of receiving the returned products, including the original shipping costs.

How to use your right of withdrawal?

  1. Email us within 14 days of delivery at hello@cardworld.be with your order number and the words "Withdrawal". You can also use the European model form (on request).
  2. Send the products back to our address unused and in original sealed condition. Return shipping costs are at your expense unless we communicate otherwise.
  3. We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the return, using the same payment method as the purchase.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply in these cases (in accordance with WER art. VI.53):

  • Rip & Ship products whose seal has been opened on stream — once boosters/packs are opened, they can no longer be returned (art. VI.53, 5°).
  • Products with broken seal or damaged packaging after delivery — an opened Booster Box or Booster Pack cannot be returned (art. VI.53, 5°).
  • Custom-made products (e.g. personalised sleeves or dividers).
  • Digital products and codes already delivered (e.g. redeemed code cards).

By ticking the box "I understand that the right of withdrawal expires once my product is opened on stream" on Rip & Ship orders (or simply by purchasing a Rip & Ship product), you agree to this exception.

10. Legal warranty

Under Belgian law (Book 4 Civil Code), you have a 2-year legal warranty on manufacturing defects or visible faults. TCG products are however random sealed packages — the value or rarity of pulled cards is not covered by this warranty. Missing or damaged cards in an original sealed booster fall under the publisher's warranty (Pokemon Company, Bandai Namco, etc.) and must be reported there.

11. Disclaimers and liability

We do our best to provide accurate information, but:

  • Trading cards are randomly packaged. We do not guarantee specific cards or rarity in a booster.
  • Card market values fluctuate. CARDWORLD is not responsible for value changes.
  • Our liability is limited to the order amount, except in cases of intent or gross negligence (as required by law).
  • We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, lost enjoyment, data loss).

12. Intellectual property

All content on cardworld.be (logo, texts, videos, design) is owned by CARDWORLD or its licensors. Third-party product names and images (Pokemon, One Piece, etc.) are owned by the respective rightsholders. No use is permitted without prior written consent.

13. Account and termination

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. In case of suspected misuse: email hello@cardworld.be immediately.

We can suspend or terminate your account in case of:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Suspected fraud or fraudulent payments
  • Abuse of CARDWORLD+, discount codes, or livestream features
  • Disruptive behaviour in our livestream chat

You can delete your own account at any time via hello@cardworld.be.

14. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed exclusively by Belgian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved between us will be settled by the competent courts of the district of Limburg, Belgium — without prejudice to your rights as a consumer to bring the case before a court of your residence within the EU.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms when our services or legislation change. The version in effect at the time of your order applies to that order. For significant changes we will notify you by email or via a banner on the website.
